Heidi Buaton

Human Rights Education Spring 2019 Intern

Heidi strongly relates to the work Resolve does to help emerging leaders build their own capacity, as she is a believer in empowering people, particularly minorities and underrepresented individuals, with their own agency. At Resolve, she assists in the coordination, implementation and evaluation of activities related to the fellowship and alumni programs, and she conducts research on human rights education theory and community empowerment best practices. She has previously worked as an undergraduate research assistant for The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Department of Anthropology and is currently a B.A. candidate in Anthropology at CUHK. Her research interests include racial and gender equality, the intersection of consumerism and femininity, and community mental health. Heidi enjoys windsurfing, kayaking, and playing basketball.
